Expect a friendly, Christian, family type atmosphere.

Upon arrival you will be greeted by an instructor who will answer any questions you may have and will ask you a few questions about yourself and your martial arts interest and goals in order to personalize class to help you attain your goals.

Safety is priority. We have professional martial arts equipment including high density mats for your safety. Jewelry needs to be removed before training and nails also should be trimmed as a safety issue. You should dress in comfortable, non-revealing clothes. T-shirt and sweats are perfect. Obscene pictures, writing, or gestures are not allowed. Remember we want to maintain a family environment.

The instructor will open class by clapping twice. Students then line up according to rank. We will show you where to go. Once lined up, we will loosen up with some stretches and get warm up with some exercise.

Students will be familiarized with basic martial arts and the Shinobu style. On your first day of martial arts instruction you will start techniques slowly, to get a feel for the movements. Basic techniques taught will include rolls, blocks, punches, kicking, and grappling. Training will flow. For instance, we may go from standing techniques to ground then to weapons, etc. Your first day may be a little physical, so you may feel sore the next day. This is normal, but your body should adjust very quickly to the new movements and exercise.

After training we will line up again the same way as at the beginning. Any remaining questions or comments will be discussed at this time. We always dismiss class with a prayer.
